Plank Canvas

Plank Canvas is a free, annual, DIY, community building group art show that donates 100% of proceeds to the artists that participate. Everyone is an artist, sometimes people just need a little bit of encouragement. That’s why I collect used (and otherwise “trashed”) skateboards and process them (photograph, number, and sand the graphic off) and hand them out to 50-60 local artists for them to do whatever they want with. Subject matter and materials are totally up to the artist, as well as any money earned if their board sells during the event. Plank Canvas is not about money, Plank Canvas is about art.
